This place is amazing. They forgot to add my potato salad when they were really busy on Valentines Day. Called and talked to Amber and she told me let her know when I was going to order next time. I ordered last week 2 fish meals (hot and fried to perfection) and told Amber about my potato salad. She added that to me for free, gave me a percentage off my meal, and gave me hushpuppies for free that we ate on for two days. Exceptional service by her and her staff. I live 15 minutes away and our food was still steaming hot when I opened it at home. We have eaten here for years because they're food is the freshest homemade food around. We have never experienced anything being left out until the potato salad, and they went above and beyond to make it right even when I didn't expect anything other than the potato salad. This resturant is amazing and definitely a must try if you haven't! You will NOT be disappointed in any dish you try.

I haven't been there for several months, but have been there numerous times and it has always been great!The service is prompt and friendly, and treat you like family.And the food is ALWAYS the best quality and perfectly prepared.It's my favorite place to eat within 50 miles.I can't even say what's the best meal I've had there because everything has always been so deliciously perfect!Go and see for yourself, you will be happy you did!!

This is my favorite restaurant, if you are looking for a great meal in a family friendly environment this is the place to go. All the staff make it a great experience. All the food is delicious and very reasonable to afford. I highly recommend trying them out.

The place looked like it was a fast good place but the employees were so friendly and know everything about the menu. Food was amazing and tasted fresh. The serving of fried fish was freshly fried, succulent and huge! Loved the hush puppies! And the sweet potato tots were divine! Would go back for more!

For months I have seen them post pictures on a community Facebook page and it always looked really good. So we decided to take a little drive and go try them out. For us being in Glen Allen were about 30 minutes away. The staff was super friendly and they were a little busy so we ended up sitting outside. Unfortunately, I don't know with all the recent rain there was kind of an unpleasant smell so once we tell the waitress, they made a table for us to go inside. They brought us a little basket of homemade potato chips with some sort of aioli sauce which all of that was very yummy. I ordered the broiled seafood platter, my wife and daughter ordered the snow crab dinner, my son got their special shrimp Cajun pasta. The only real issue I had was that it took an extremely long time for us to get our food. I'm not sure what was going on, it seems like maybe something was forgotten not really sure but there were a few tables that came in after us and received their food way before us. I think it was just an anomaly oh, and I think they realized it as well. On the snow crab dinners you were supposed to only get one cluster of legs and both my wife and daughter got to. They never mentioned it but I think it was a we're sorry here's a little extra. Everything was super tasty. My daughter loves snow crab legs and we get them quite a bit and sometimes they're very difficult do steam just right. This place has it down, both my wife and daughter or able to pull huge chunks out of the legs. The white fish that they had on the broiled seafood platter was amazing! I eat quite a bit of fish and Whitefish can sometimes just be you know just white fish but this was one of the best I've ever had. The sea scallops were nice and big and plump. All the food was great no one was disappointed at all!. We even got a basket of hush puppies and those were amazing as well. My wife also mentioned that she didn't know what type of butter they used but it was the most amazing butter she had ever had with the snow crab legs. I would highly recommend making the trip to come check this place out. The owner came out and met with us as well she was super friendly oh, this is a great seafood restaurant!

Back again for the 2nd time in a week. Everything my family and I have had here is so good. The staff is always so welcoming and the atmosphere has a cozy feel.

Accidentally found Halterman’s on our way to West Point. What a great find. The Fish & Chips and Crab-cakes are fantastic. My mother just exclaimed “these Hushpuppies are to die for” and she was right!

What a delightful surprise! Located in the corner of a rather unremarkable strip mall, this restaurant was wonderful.The hush puppies were toasted perfectly outside and cake-y inside, deviled eggs with sprinkled crispy bacon a nice appetizer. Pan fried scallops with fresh thick cut fries-yummy! My wife had pancakes-one was enough for a meal, and it comes with three! We will absolutely be back!
